Forbidden Divan

Ingredients
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen organic broccoli or 2 bunches fresh broccoli

  • 2 -3 cups cooked turkey, diced (may use shrimp/chicken/duck instead)

  • 3 cups cream of mushroom soup, recipe HERE

  • 1 cup mayonnaise, recipe HERE

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder

  • 3/4 cup shredded sharp raw cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds

  • 1 tablespoon organic butter or coconut oil

  • 3 cups of Forbidden Rice

Instructions
  1. Prepare Forbidden rice as directed on bag using chicken stock, and cook broccoli according to package directions being sure not to overcook; drain. If using fresh broccoli, steam and dry. To prepare sauce, mix remaining ingredients except almond slices and butter.

  2. In a 9x13 dish put a layer of Forbidden Rice, then broccoli and lastly whatever meat you've chosen. Cover with the sauce. Top with almond slices and dot with pea-sized chunks of butter, and bake 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
